Two-Player Local Hotseat Abstract Strategy Game.

This is a very early alpha build.  I welcome all comments/thoughts/suggestions.

INSTRUCTIONS

The goal of this game is to eliminate all of your opponent's controlled squares. Each player may take any allowable actions on their turn, then end and pass to the next player.  A Unit of Art (circle) acts as a fortress whereas Units of War (triangle) move one square each turn in the direction in which they are pointed. A unit of war must have double the amount of stacked bubbles to beat a unit of art. Bubbles are resources which the player generates by counting the number of uncontrolled squares surrounding their controlled squares (mercifully, the game will do it for you).

First Turn:  Each player "seeds" a square, thereby controlling it.

Turn Order

  1. MOVE units of war. If it encounters the edge of the board, you may redirect it the next turn.
  1. GENERATE Bubbles - Half the number of uncontrolled squares adjacent to controlled squares (rounded down, all 8 surrounding squares are eligible).
  2. SEED, STACK, or PROGRESS (any action can be taken in any order until there are no bubbles left)
    1. SEED - use a bubble to control an uncontrolled square.  May not be used on a square that is OCCUPIED by a unit of art or war.  May only happen once per turn, and only squares adjacent to a square that is controlled at the beginning of the turn are eligible to be seeded.
    2. STACK - place bubble on an already controlled square.
    3. PROGRESS - Convert all stacked squares controlled by current player as follows:
      1. Even number of bubbles = unit of war.  Square becomes depleted.
      2. Odd number of bubbles that are multiples of three = unit of art.  Square becomes depleted.
      3. Odd number of bubbles that are NOT a multiple of three = Square remains as-is.
  3. END TURN
